It’s Taking Forever

It’s Taking Forever

You know how it is, the cobbler’s kids go barefoot.  But I think things are coming along nicely – ok, very SLOWLY yet nicely.  Currently, I’m working on design and layout simultaneously, and some of that work is just done en cranium.  In the Head.

And I ponder – what do the chickens and that old, rusty stove have to do with webdesign?

Maybe it’s the chickens pecking along relentlessly -working towards their goal.  Is it the old rusty stove churning out quality heat?  On the other hand – WHAT precisely would represent ‘webdesign’?  Me in my robe sitting in front of my computer at 4 AM drinking coffee with a bunch of HTML tags splattered all over the monitor?  Believe me, the chickens and that stove look much more idyllic.

And why did I pick it?  Above described photo of me, the webdesigner at work, would scare people away.  On the other hand, that stove and its chickens can be found in Luckenbach, Texas, where they have been sitting and pecking for many years now, much like I have.

  1. Hey – great website, just looking around some blogs, looks a pretty great system you’re using. I’m presently using Blogger for a few of my websites but looking to modify one of them over to a program much like your own as a test run. Anything in particular you’d recommend regarding it?

  2. I chose WordPress because of the many plugins and the great support. However, I know nothing about Blogger, so I cannot make any kind of comparison. I especially love the feature where it allows me to moderate any and all comments, which helps me keep my site spam-free. I don’t like spam, I think posting on other blogs with meaningless, unrelated blabber just to create an opportunity to post one’s url, is unprofessional and rude. That’s why I sometimes publish the comment, but delete the URL.
